First of all, I know that it's my ipod and I - and I am using ipod as a generic for mp3 player.
Everyone I know who has an ipod really loves it. Put those ear buds in and there isn't anything in the world but you and the sound. Go to itunes and you can (for a price) put an amazing number of songs on your machine and walk through life totally connected to the music.
Listening to music on an ipod is a form of controlling your life. You are the protagonist in the script of your life and the music is the soundtrack you can choose. As you enter the grocery store, the music swells- a dramatic moment! Reach for the peanut butter to make a sandwich, and the music is anxious and edgy - wait, should I have had turkey on rye? Here we all are, each of us a bit player in someone else's life in intersecting movies while starring in our own.
So what is on mine? Lots of upbeat baroque and renaissance music. (I like structure.) Workout music with heavy backbeat to inspire me when I am running. Dixie Chicks, Indigo Girls, all my favorite pop tunes of yesterday and today, Wyndam Hills music to relax to, and guided meditation tapes. And I love the fact that I can play a song again and again and again and again...... I love my ipod.

First Entry
Really original title, eh?
I can see how blogs can be used as information exchanges, and I am open to learning about is uses, but (you knew it was coming) there is something inherently bizarre about posting your thoughts for all the cyber world to see. What does one say?
My 24 year old daughter writes entertaining, funny and profound entries in her blog.
What do I want to say to the world? Why on earth would anyone want to read it?
