First Entry

Really original title, eh?

I can see how blogs can be used as information exchanges, and I am open to learning about is uses, but (you knew it was coming) there is something inherently bizarre about posting your thoughts for all the cyber world to see. What does one say?

My 24 year old daughter writes entertaining, funny and profound entries in her blog.
What do I want to say to the world? Why on earth would anyone want to read it?

Not like i'm an experience blogger, but the times i have, i know that picturing the entire cyberworld waiting to pounce on my words sends me into convulsions. if i make an effort to be remotely witty, erudite or entertaining, my fingers go into spasms on the keyboard and my brain freezes.

I think it helps to start by reading some of the other krl blogs. many of them seem like conversations, very unselfconscious. some are clearly penned by writers much more creative and facile with words than me, but together they seem to form kind of an organic, larger mosaic of KRL - many voices, all different. i think it's enough just that you're joining in.

One of the things I've noticed (agreeing with bob c. here) - there is such variety in the blogs. That's true out in the wild and wooly blog world, too. Some blogs are personal musings, others are strictly images or comic strips or collections of some kind. Some will break your heart, others bring lighthearted laughter. Some are simply weird. Really weird.

I like your blog name! I'm browsing around the blogs (which is great fun) and I HAD to click on canwoman. Welcome to krl2.0!

Hey, canwoman. I am in agreement with slee...I had to click on canwoman...the handle intriqued me.

I thought "canwoman?" "What does she mean by canwoman?" Does she collect cans? Does she just sit on her can? I wonder if she's asking herself, "can woman?"

So...there you go. You've drawn us in...now...where do you want to go?

By the way...the cyberworld is the world you make it. Believe me. NOT ALL 50 million plus bloggers will read your posts...they are working too hard on their own blog output that, most likely, they won't even look at yours.

At least that's how I rationalize being "out there" with my ramblings.

Keep going. It can be a hoot to see how your colleagues think about things.

To quote Andy Warhole,

Everyone will be famous for 15 minutes.
Blogging may help this out.

Warhole also says:
Fantasy love is much better than reality love. Never doing it is very exciting. The most exciting attractions are between two opposites that never meet.

Need I say more?

Bizarre is good. In person I can talk your ear off, at the computer I go into a daze.
